LIABILITY WAIVER TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR VERTEX BOULDERING COMPETITION

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR VERTEX BOULDERING COMPETITION OR PARTICIPATING IN ANY WAY.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK: I understand that bouldering is a high-risk activity that can result in serious injury, paralysis, or even death. I hereby acknowledge that I have voluntarily chosen to participate in the Vertex Bouldering Competition organized by Project Rock, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Vertex Bouldering Competition, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, and discharge Project Rock, its officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates (collectively referred to as the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, while participating in the Vertex Bouldering Competition or any related activities.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I hereby assume all risks and dangers associated with participating in the Vertex Bouldering Competition, including but not limited to those arising from falls, slips, trips, collisions, equipment failure, and other hazards. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my own safety and well-being while participating in the Vertex Bouldering Competition.

INDEMNIFICATION: I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or related to my participation in the Vertex Bouldering Competition, including but not limited to any injuries or damages caused by my own negligence or recklessness.

MEDICAL TREATMENT: I authorize Project Rock and its agents to provide or arrange for any necessary medical treatment or emergency services for me in the event of an injury or illness while participating in the Vertex Bouldering Competition.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA RELEASE: I grant Project Rock the right to use my name, likeness, and image in any photographs, video recordings, or other media related to the Vertex Bouldering Competition for any legitimate purpose, including but not limited to promotion and marketing of the event.

GOVERNING LAW: This waiver and release of liability shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state or province where the Vertex Bouldering Competition is held.

SEVERABILITY: If any provision of this waiver and release of liability is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT: This waiver and release of liability constitutes the entire agreement between me and Project Rock and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter of this agreement.

I have read this waiver and release of liability, fully understand its terms, and freely and voluntarily agree to its provisions. I understand that by signing up for Vertex Bouldering Competition or participating in any way, I am giving up substantial rights, including the right to sue.
